So it’s done been over and burned me out.
I’ve been collecting myself up and getting caught up on things I missed while I was off in LA. I have to say it’s getting pretty easy to stay connected. Even though the free e3 wifi was perpetually overloaded (and I wasn’t about to pay $25/day for the convention center wifi), there was free access at nearby places and at the hotel. I found it easy to hop on, do my stuff, and get off. The tough thing was finding the time. There is just so much to see and do at E3 that you’re perpetually pulled in all directions. It’s the emporium of ADD.
So I found that there were a whole lot of things to “come back and see later.” There’s just not enough later.
After the expo was over, we spent the next couple of days seeing the beaches and taking piles of pictures. I found that I’m not as bad a photographer as I thought - taking pictures in broad daylight is a lot easier than on the dark floor of E3.

Okay, this is my last set of photos from Friday at E3. I actually put them up the other day, but here’s are the highlights.

The whole next whack of pictures that I’ve got up come from the Game Infinity display. I’m sure that I over did it, but they were some talented performers. The Game Infinity display is set up to promote several Korean companies, and it definitely attracted a large crowd. Basically it was a troop of five breakdancers that burned more calories in about fifteen minutes than I have all week.

I’m uploading some pictures from Friday at E3 now. I decided to shrink my pictures down to 1024×768, still full screen, but that way they’ll load faster. There’s a whole pile of news from the conference coming out right now, so my experimental video game news page is full of new stuff. Just wish I had the time to read it all…
A few of the highlights from the pictures that I’m uploading as I type…

Okay, so I’m a little less than creative with the titles, but here are the last of my pictures from Thursday afternoon at E3. I know a lot of them are not coming out as clearly as I’d like, but I’m doing my best to post them here as fast as I can after they’re taken. That’s also why you’re not seeing a lot of description to go with them yet. If there’s enough interest, I can give a lot more of my opinion on the games pictured here.
Click ‘more’ for a summary of this afternoon’s pictures.

More pictures from Thursday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. This time you might find a couple shots of my lunch & whatnot. Oh, and some booth babes.
Cooler than that though, you’ll find screenshots from the upcoming Ratchet game - Ratchet Deadlocked, Spartan: Total Warrior, and Spy 3. Some of the Spy 3 shots are from 3D levels, so put on your 3D glasses and see how they look. All those are for Playstation 2.

Got in late last night, what a painfully cramped flight. It was well worth it though. I love Los Angeles and E3 is on. Sitting in the Fusion Cafe, we’re moving all the pictures off of our cameras on to the notebook. I haven’t got any time to sort them out, but I took plenty of screenshots of new games. We saw mostly PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube titles this morning. We played the new Mario DDR, Madagascar, Donkey Konga 2, We Love Katamari, all on Nintendo. We played the upcoming Narnia game (the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe) and a PSP title called Coded Arms, wherein you apparently attack computer viruses with a shotgun (not the recommended practice here at Late Night PC Service).
The Eye Toy pictures that I’ve included are from an upcoming experience (it’s really different from a a game) called Kinetic. This is really starting to show the potential of the Eye Toy. Candace and I spoke to Mark Parry, one of the developers on Kinetic, from Sony London. Candace talked to him in more depth than I did, so you might find more detail in her blog.
I haven’t got time to sort them out, but I want to get some pictures out right away. Here’s a page of pictures that we’ve got so far. We’ll get back to elaborate on this stuff more later.
